You can use the Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS with several first responders by using the pulling straps on the longitudinal sides, the foot end and the head end, which allows you to evacuate in a controlled manner. Because you need to deal with , it is important that you work in an ergonomic-friendly way. That is why the length of the pulling straps are so long that you can stand upright when pulling, which is good for your back and limbs.
When you need to evacuate a larger-sized individual, you cannot do this alone. You need help from other responders. The Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS is designed in such a way that you can operate the evacuation mat with multiple colleagues. This is beneficial during a horizontal and vertical evacuation.
The entire feet and bottom side is equipped with the world's strongest fiber, Dyneema®. This doesn't only give plenty of strength and increases the lifespan of your evacuation mat, but it also ensures less resistance while sliding.
This evacuation device is designed by Tetcon to make sure no one is left during an emergency. A super simple design stands at the core of this powerful tool.

By hand:
The S-CAPEPLUS can be cleaned with a disinfection spray and wipe. Always allow it to dry after manual cleaning to prevent odours.
It is recommended to wear gloves during cleaning (household gloves or disposable gloves). Be careful when cleaning the hook and loop fasteners. Ensure that they still function properly after cleaning.
DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE WATER FOR CLEANING!
In the washing machine:
The cover of the S-CAPEPLUS can also be washed in the washing machine. Open the zipper at the head end and the hook and loop fastener strip at the foot end to remove the air mattress from the cover. Place the cover in a washing bag and please follow the washing instructions for the cover.
A firm and thick foam mattress protects the victim on the evacuation mattress. The foam is no less than 7 centimeters thick and has a sturdy structure. This allows you to optimally absorb any shocks. That is very comfortable when you have to move or evacuate a larger-sized individual

How often you clean the equipment depends on the hygiene policy of your organization. As a manufacturer, we recommend cleaning the lying area and body flaps after use. This can be done by means of a disinfection spray and a wipe. Is your cover soiled to such an extent that cleaning by hand is no longer sufficient? You can also place it in the washing machine.
There are tow straps at the head and foot ends of the Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS. If you slide horizontally, you can use both pulling straps at the foot end and the head end. This depends on how you prefer to train. On a staircase, you always descend the stairs where the victim’s feet goes down first.
The Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS will be supplied in a green Wall Cover. You can mount the green Wall Cover to the wall.
This depends on how experienced you are. If you are an experienced user, you can operate the S-CAPEPLUS Premium on your own.
When you are going to use the S-CAPEPLUS for the first time during a demo or training, it is recommended that you operate the S-CAPEPLUS with 4 people: 2 person at the foot end and 2 person at the head end.
Make sure the victim’s weight is relatively equal to your own weight. This way you always keep control and ensures you get comfortable with the product’s use.
Your own safety always has the first priority. Always follow the user instructions. If you feel uncomfortable or don’t think you can handle it, leave it to someone else.
It’s likely that you won’t always have a person of greater size or weight available to participate in your training with the Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS. You could use an obesity training dummy for this. Or, for example, you use an obesity suit. This allows you to practice in a more realistic way.
No. You won’t get a maintenance or service contract if you purchase the Bariatric S-CAPEPLUS. We believe this is an unnecessary expense and we do not want to burden you with that. Once you have used the evacuation mattress, you may check it visually for any damage.
