At the end of August, Carlijn Kwinten joined the Tetcon team.
In this story you will learn more about Carlijn and she will tell you more about her background, what she does and her ambitions.

How would you describe yourself?
I think that words like open-minded, creativity, social and caring describe me the best. I get excited about new experiences and like to learn from new ideas.

What will your job look like at Tetcon?
I’m going to fulfil an all-round function at Tetcon. This means that I am going to support the marketing, sales and logistics team. Due to my experience working in healthcare and therefore healthcare aids, I will also be involved in the stages of product development.

What’s your background?
I worked in geriatrics for more than six years. I provided daily guidance to patients with a mild intellectual disability and to elderly people with a mental disorder living in a nursing home. I’ve also worked as a ‘development coach’ for students/employees in the healthcare industry. In addition, I will start my new position as “Commercial Support” at Tetcon. Eindhoven is the place where I live together with my partner. In my spare time I enjoy reading fiction books, cooking, playing tennis and going out with friends, partner and/or family.

What kind of expertise do you bring to Tetcon?
I’ve worked in the healthcare sector for years. I know the importance of good manual handling practices and safety in general. I will take ‘my backpack’ filled with experiences from the healthcare market to Tetcon which will be extremely helpful in the sales and development of evacuation and transfer aids.

What are you most looking forward to?
I look forward to gaining new experiences and expanding my professional network.

Which Tetcon product do you like the most?
That’s pretty difficult to choose! I am pretty excited about most the products. But if I really had to choose, I would go for the Retmex Rescue Sheet – Nomex Model. Especially since the moment that we are offering these in a special Disaster Kit. With this Rescue Sheet, every aspect of safety has been thought of. It is compactly packed, easy to carry, easy to attach to parts of your gear, extremely light-weight, allows you to evacuate victims in dangerous areas (and almost impossible situations) and it can even be used to extinguish flames. Especially that last feature, I think is really cool. I’m also really excited about BitePRO®.

What are your ambitions for the coming period?
My ambition is to get to know Tetcon in all areas and to master it. I also want to be part of the large distribution network that has been built up over the years and who knows, make my own contribution to developing products for the fire safety or healthcare industry.
